Challenge
Heroshe helps people in Nigeria shop from US stores and ship home. Its WordPress frontend had become the bottleneck: hard to change safely, slow for customers, and limiting how far the shipment flow could be improved.
Approach
I led a team of three frontend developers through a ground-up rebuild on Nuxt and Vue, written test-first so the new shipment and checkout flows could evolve without regressions. We redesigned the core journeys around what customers were actually trying to do, and shipped incrementally alongside the existing site.
Outcome
Retention and shipment conversion rose roughly 45%, with the platform handling 200+ shipments and around 3,000 lbs of freight a month.
